Construction Field Services Representative (Site Inspector)

Opening in Langley/Vancouver office

We are seeking a self-motivated Construction Field Services Representative with a minimum of 5 years' experience in mechanical systems engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for construction administration and for conducting field reviews on a multitude of projects. We ensure general mechanical construction compliance with local, provincial and national building codes ,as well as, adhere to contract documents as prepared by Rocky Point Engineering.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, talented team player to join our highly successful Langley/ Vancouver office location(s). The candidate must also be detail oriented and someone who enjoys contributing to the success of the team in a progressive work environment.

Responsibilities:

The main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily limited to the following:

  • Ability to travel within and outside of the Lower Mainland including periodic overnight trips
  • Be familiar with and able to interpret and explain applicable building codes
  • Field coordination of HVAC, Fire Protection and Plumbing layouts as required
  • Client management including conferring and collaborating with Architects, Consultants, Building Inspectors, Contractors, Equipment Manufacturers and Owners
  • Must maintain a high level of client service
  • Regularly attend project construction meetings and confer with Rocky Point personnel
  • Be responsible for construction related correspondence
  • Promptly issue field reports after each site visit that exceeds the expectation of the owner
  • Deliver a fully completed and operational mechanical system

Skills/Qualifications:

  • University degree, College/Technology diploma in Mechanical/Building Engineering or relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant field
  • Able to read and understand Architectural, Structural, Plumbing, Mechanical and Electrical drawings
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet project deadlines
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and vehicle
